Brasil estado 373 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) White Coffee Mug

A heavy black pentagon enclosing the numerals 373 on a clean white field, a flat road-marker motif with nothing else on it.

Visual Elements & Composition

Black and white are the only colours, with white making up about 85 percent of the design. The pentagon carries a thick outer border and an inner line, so the shield has depth without any shading. The numerals sit squarely in the centre and dominate the layout. The result is a monochrome, typographic piece where the shape and the number do all the work.

Meaning & Symbolism

Pentagonal shields are how Brazilian state highways mark themselves, and the number on the shield is the thread a traveller follows from one junction to the next. This piece names route 373, a road within the Brazilian state network. It treats the marker as a small monument to the long roads that connect regions, the kind of identifier most people pass without a second look.

Turned in the Hand

Because a mug is turned in the hand, the pentagon travels around the body as the cup moves, so the numerals appear and disappear with each turn. The C-handle sits on the opposite side, keeping the shield clear while you lift the mug. It works on a desk, a kitchen shelf or a road-trip table, wherever a number on the move has a story attached.
