Brasil estado 631 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) White Coffee Mug

A black pentagonal road marker carrying the numerals 631, printed in flat vector on a white field.

Visual Elements & Composition

White fills almost the whole design, and black draws the pentagon outline, an inner border and the numerals. The shape is a single pentagon with a second, thinner line inside it, and the figures 631 sit in bold black in the centre. No shading or texture is used, so the outline and the numbers do all the work. The numerals are the largest element, which makes the number the first thing read.

Meaning & Symbolism

The name places the marker in Brazil, and the word estado identifies it as a state-level route. The number 631 is the road designation printed on the sign. The pentagonal outline is a route-marker form, and the piece belongs to the modern, utilitarian tradition of road signage, where a short shape and a number are enough to identify a route.

On the Ceramic Mug

A mug is turned in the hand, so the marker moves around the curve of the cup as you rotate it. The pentagon's straight edges and angled corners read clearly against the white ceramic, and the design's simple, high-contrast form keeps the route number legible from the side of the cup.
