Brasil estado 824 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) Color Changing Mug 11oz

This design is a roadside marker from Brazil: a pentagon outline framing the route number 824, drawn in a flat, black-and-white road-sign style.

Visual Elements & Composition

Black and white do all the work. Black makes up roughly an eighth of the artwork, drawn as a pentagon outline with an inner border, while white fills the rest of the field. The numeral 824 sits centred inside the pentagon, with the words "Brasil estado" and "jct" carrying the identifier across the layout. Nothing is ornamental. Every line serves legibility, so the eye goes straight to the number.

Meaning & Symbolism

Road signs speak a plain language. A numbered route tells a driver where they are and where the road leads, and the pentagon outline is the shape used here to frame that identifier. The text follows the same logic: "estado" points to the state-level network and "jct" to a junction, so the sign reads as a place on a map rather than a decoration. The design is modern and utilitarian, and it treats geography as something you can read at a glance.

Made for the Hand, Read on the Move

A mug is turned in the hand, which suits a sign built to be read quickly. The number comes round as you lift the cup and is taken in before the first sip. The colour-changing surface adds a second moment: pour in something hot and the pentagon and 824 emerge as the cup warms, like a route lighting up at a junction. For a friend with a favourite road trip, a memory of a far-off place, or a soft spot for signage, this mug tells its story every morning.
