Brasil estado 922 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) White Coffee Mug

A double-bordered pentagon with the bold numerals 922 at its centre, drawn as a plain black-and-white route sign.

Visual Elements & Composition

White covers about six-sevenths of the design, with black used for the pentagon outline and the numerals. The outline is doubled, so two black rings follow the same five-sided shape inside one another. The number 922 sits in the middle of the pentagon, large and dark against the white field. There is no other text or ornament, and the layout is fixed and even.

Meaning & Symbolism

"Brasil estado 922 jct" identifies a numbered junction in a Brazilian state. The number 922 is the code that locates that point, and the pentagon is the shape of the sign that carries it. The double border reinforces the marker's role as a fixed reference on the road. The design belongs to modern signage and to the practice of identifying places by route number, so it stands for the number itself.

On the Ceramic Mug

A mug is held and turned, so the doubled pentagon shifts across the eye as the cup rotates, and the central numerals return to the same point each time. The white ceramic ground keeps both black rings crisp, and the number reads from the side of the cup as clearly as from the front. The sign was made to be read at a glance, which suits an object that is picked up and looked at many times a day.
