Breitwimpel der Kaiserin (Germany) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design takes a jewelled gold crown and sets it on a long, tapering white pennant, the command sign of the German Empress in the Imperial navy.

Visual Elements & Composition

White dominates the piece, forming a tall, tapering banner that narrows toward its tail. Near the head of the pennant sits a gold crown, jewelled and topped with a cross finial, drawn in flat vector shapes. Touches of red and pale green appear in the surrounding detail. The layout is simple and symmetrical, with the crown as the single focal point and nothing else competing for attention.

Meaning & Symbolism

The pennant is a broad pennant, a command sign used by the Kaiserliche Marine, the Imperial German Navy. The crown shown on it is the Empress's crown of 1888, and it marked her presence aboard. Adopted in 1908 and used until 1918, the sign was flown only by order of the Empress. When hoisted on a ship's main top or at a boat's bow, it signalled naval protocols such as the cessation of saluting and parading, which made it a formal mark of imperial authority at sea.

On a Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the crown and the tapering pennant sit in full view as the glass is lifted. The white field makes the gold of the crown stand out clearly, and the detail rewards a closer look at the table.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
