Canton du Valais (Switzerland) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design presents the coat of arms of the Canton of Valais, the Swiss canton also known as Wallis, in a crisp red and white flat-vector style.

Visual Elements & Composition

The shield is split vertically, with red on one side and white on the other, and the two colours carry almost the whole composition. Thirteen five-pointed stars are set against the field, each drawn in the opposite colour to its ground so that they stand out sharply. The outline of the territory sits behind the stars. There is no lettering, and the limited palette of red, white and a trace of black keeps the layout bold and direct.

Meaning & Symbolism

The thirteen stars represent the thirteen Zehnden, the districts or tithings of the Upper Valais, so each star marks one local community within the canton. The red and white colours were used by the bishops of Sion from around 1220, which gives the emblem a lineage that reaches back almost eight centuries. The current thirteen-star arrangement was introduced in 1815, when the canton's heraldry took its present form.

Carried on a Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the stars are read one by one at the rim while the red and white field fills the eye as the glass is lifted. The composition suits a small surface, since the bold contrast reads clearly at close range. It is a compact way to keep a piece of Swiss regional heraldry on the bar shelf.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
