Canton valais-drapeau (Switzerland) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design is the flag of the Canton of Valais in Switzerland, a vertical red and white bicolour scattered with thirteen stars.

Visual Elements & Composition

The flag is split vertically, with white on the hoist side and red on the fly side, and the two colours share the field almost equally. The stars do the rest of the work. Four red stars sit on the white half, four white stars sit on the red half, and five stars straddle the centre line, each split between red and white. The stars are arranged in vertical columns, so the pattern reads as a clean, high-contrast grid with no text or lettering.

Meaning & Symbolism

The thirteen stars stand for the canton's thirteen historical districts, known as dizains, which together made up the Valais. The flag was formally adopted on 12 May 1815, which places the design in the early nineteenth century and in the canton's formal modern identity. The high-contrast red and white palette keeps the emblem direct and easy to read.

On the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the flag is read at the rim rather than from across a room. The stars come into view one column at a time as the glass is raised, and the counterchanged stars in the middle catch the light against the clear body. It is a tidy way to keep a piece of Swiss regional history on the bar cart.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
