CHE Mellstorf Flag proposal 2 (Switzerland) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A vertical yellow band runs through a field of blue, with three star-shaped flowers, each with a yellow centre, in this flat vector proposal for a flag of Mellstorf.

Visual Elements & Composition

Blue covers about two-thirds of the design and sets the overall tone. A vertical yellow band occupies the remaining third, giving the flag a strong structural line. The three six-pointed flowers are spaced along the field, and their yellow centres pick up the band so the two colours connect. The pattern repeats with a steady rhythm. There is no lettering or numeral, and the composition stays open and uncluttered.

Meaning & Symbolism

This is the second proposal for a flag of Mellstorf, a village that began as a separate settlement in northern Aargau. It was incorporated into Wislikofen in 1899, and after the 2022 merger it became part of the municipality of Zurzach. The flowers speak to the village's rural character, and the vertical band gives the community a visual identity of its own within the wider municipality, distinct from the national banner.

On the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the flowers are seen up near the eye rather than across a room. The bold blue field and the yellow band read clearly at that size, and the blooms sit well on the narrow, rounded face of the glass, where the yellow centres catch the light as it is lifted.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
