Civil Ensign of British Honduras 1870-1919 (Belize) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design reproduces the civil ensign of British Honduras, the flag that flew over the territory now known as Belize from 1870 to 1919.

Visual Elements & Composition

Crimson red fills most of the flag, with navy blue, white and a touch of gold yellow and sea teal. The Union Jack takes the canton in the upper corner, the sign of the colony's British status. A round white badge sits on the fly and holds a three-masted sailing ship, with crossed tools and a small Union Jack placed within the same roundel. The flat vector style keeps every element crisp and easy to pick out.

Meaning & Symbolism

The sailing ship points to the timber and maritime trade that shaped the settlement, and the crossed tools recall the labour that drove its economy. The small Union Jack inside the badge repeats the British link, so the emblem reads as a summary of the colony's identity. The flag marks a fifty-year stretch of colonial administration, from the early 1870s to the close of the 1910s.

Raising a Glass to the Badge

A shot glass is small and held close, so the round badge comes into focus as the glass is lifted to the eye. The crimson field shows strongly through clear glass, and the tools and ship in the roundel are easy to spot at close range. Every pour gives you a close look at a piece of Belizean colonial history.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
