Civil flag of Italy 1861-1946 2 by 3 size hanging version (Eritrea) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design renders the civil flag of Italy from 1861 to 1946 as a vertical green, white and red tricolour with a heraldic shield at its centre.

Visual Elements & Composition

Three vertical bands of green, white and red divide the field into equal columns, and the white band carries the central shield. The shield shows a red field with a white cross, and it is the one point of detail the eye settles on. The flat vector style keeps the colour blocks sharp, and the 2:3 proportion of the hanging version gives the composition an upright, banner-like presence.

Meaning & Symbolism

The tricolour descends from the Italian republican flags of the late eighteenth century and became the national flag when the Kingdom of Italy was proclaimed in 1861. The shield is the arms of the House of Savoy, the dynasty that led unification, and its cross sets the flag within that monarchic era. The flag was also flown in Italy's East African colony of Eritrea, which is why the design is associated with that territory.

An Upright Banner for a Tall Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the shield and the three vertical bands are visible at a glance, as a tiny banner would be. The vertical stripes run along the curve of the glass, which emphasises the flag's upright form and gives the design a clear, graphic focus on the bar top.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
