Coat of arms of Nicaragua (1854) - Frosted Pint Glass 16oz

This is the 1854 coat of arms of Nicaragua, a circular national seal built around a triangle, five volcanoes and a rainbow over water.

Visual Elements & Composition

The seal is a flat vector emblem with a broad white field that dominates the design. Gold yellow, green and dark blue carry the main emblem, with a laurel wreath framing the central motif inside a ring border. A ribbon banner crosses the lower part of the seal, and the words REPUBLICA DE NICARAGUA sit in the circular border, with LIBERTAD and ORDEN TRABAJO on the banner. The composition is symmetrical and centred, so the eye moves from the triangle outward to the ring.

Meaning & Symbolism

The triangle stands for equality, and the five volcanoes within it represent the original member states of the former United Provinces of Central America. Those volcanoes rise between the Atlantic and Pacific, and the rainbow above them is a traditional sign of peace. The red Phrygian cap marks liberty, and the laurel and banner words carry the ideals of order and labour. Adopted in the mid-nineteenth century, the seal records a young republic reaching for unity after the break-up of the federation.

Shaped for a Pint Glass

A circular seal suits a pint glass well. The round emblem sits at eye level on the side of the glass, and the wraparound print lets the full ring be seen as the glass turns in the hand. The frosted surface gives the gold and green a soft, semi-translucent glow.

Frosted pint glass (16 oz / ≈0.47 L) with a soft matte finish and semi-translucent, one-sided print. Tough enough for bar and restaurant use, dishwasher safe, and BPA-free — a modern take on classic pintware.

These pints are mouth-blown-style glass finished with a satin frost that mutes glare and gives art a soft, tactile presence. The print sits atop the frosted surface to create a semi-see-through effect — the look subtly shifts depending on lighting and what's poured inside.

Because the print is slightly translucent, pale drinks let more light through and darker pours create stronger contrast. That interplay gives each serving a small visual surprise — useful in hospitality settings or retail displays where the drink and the glass play off each other.

  • Material: 100% glass with a matte, frosted finish for a low-reflective, premium feel.
  • Capacity: 16 oz (standard U.S. pint, ≈0.47 L).
  • Print: one-sided wraparound, semi-translucent finish that changes with light and liquid.
  • Care: dishwasher-safe for everyday service (see Care tab for tips).
  • Use cases: retail shelves, bar service, event glassware, or merch racks — suitable for single units or larger orders.

These glasses work well for chilled beers, craft pours, iced cocktails and cold brew — anywhere you want an elegant, understated presentation. The frosted surface hides minor fingerprints and softens the silhouette of the drink inside.

  1. Serve: fill with cold beverages; the semi-translucent print will interact with the drink color for subtle variation.
  2. Display: stack or line them on back bar shelving where soft lighting emphasizes the frosted texture.
  3. Stocking: sell individually or as a set; their neutral look fits many menu styles and venue aesthetics.

Tip: if you plan themed pours (pale ales, lagers, dark stouts), test a sample to see how each drink’s hue changes the printed artwork’s visibility.

Dishwasher-safe for routine cleaning — use a standard household cycle and avoid very high-heat commercial programs when possible. Placing glasses mouth-down on the rack reduces risk of chipping during wash cycles.

For best longevity, hand-wash with warm water and mild detergent and dry immediately with a lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive scouring pads and harsh chemical cleaners that can dull the frosted finish or wear printed areas over time.
