Coat of arms of the Lands of the Holy Hungarian Crown (1915-1918, 1919-1946) - Frosted Pint Glass 16oz

Two winged angels hold up a quartered heraldic shield beneath a jewelled crown, drawn in flat vector with fine line-engraved detail.

Visual Elements & Composition

White fills the largest share of the design, with crimson, royal blue and gold set into the quarters and black used for the finest lines. The shield is divided into quarters: gold lions on a blue field, a double-headed eagle, a white cross on red and white, and a running stag on a red and white band. A checkerboard pattern runs through part of the field. The angels stand symmetrically on either side, and the crown with its cross tops the arrangement.

Meaning & Symbolism

Supporters such as the angels place the arms under a sacred guardianship, a convention of formal heraldry. The jewelled crown stands for the Holy Hungarian Crown, the idea of a single realm made up of many lands. The lions, the eagle and the cross each mark a territory or a claim within that whole, and the running stag adds a further regional emblem. The design records the official insignia used across two spans of the early 20th century, from 1915 to 1918 and from 1919 to 1946.

Held Close in the Hand

A pint glass wraps its print around a tall, curved surface, so the angels and the shield move into view as the glass is turned. The semi-translucent print lets the frosted surface carry the white and crimson of the quarters, and the crown stays in sight from rim to base.

Frosted pint glass (16 oz / ≈0.47 L) with a soft matte finish and semi-translucent, one-sided print. Tough enough for bar and restaurant use, dishwasher safe, and BPA-free — a modern take on classic pintware.

These pints are mouth-blown-style glass finished with a satin frost that mutes glare and gives art a soft, tactile presence. The print sits atop the frosted surface to create a semi-see-through effect — the look subtly shifts depending on lighting and what's poured inside.

Because the print is slightly translucent, pale drinks let more light through and darker pours create stronger contrast. That interplay gives each serving a small visual surprise — useful in hospitality settings or retail displays where the drink and the glass play off each other.

  • Material: 100% glass with a matte, frosted finish for a low-reflective, premium feel.
  • Capacity: 16 oz (standard U.S. pint, ≈0.47 L).
  • Print: one-sided wraparound, semi-translucent finish that changes with light and liquid.
  • Care: dishwasher-safe for everyday service (see Care tab for tips).
  • Use cases: retail shelves, bar service, event glassware, or merch racks — suitable for single units or larger orders.

These glasses work well for chilled beers, craft pours, iced cocktails and cold brew — anywhere you want an elegant, understated presentation. The frosted surface hides minor fingerprints and softens the silhouette of the drink inside.

  1. Serve: fill with cold beverages; the semi-translucent print will interact with the drink color for subtle variation.
  2. Display: stack or line them on back bar shelving where soft lighting emphasizes the frosted texture.
  3. Stocking: sell individually or as a set; their neutral look fits many menu styles and venue aesthetics.

Tip: if you plan themed pours (pale ales, lagers, dark stouts), test a sample to see how each drink’s hue changes the printed artwork’s visibility.

Dishwasher-safe for routine cleaning — use a standard household cycle and avoid very high-heat commercial programs when possible. Placing glasses mouth-down on the rack reduces risk of chipping during wash cycles.

For best longevity, hand-wash with warm water and mild detergent and dry immediately with a lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive scouring pads and harsh chemical cleaners that can dull the frosted finish or wear printed areas over time.
