Coats of arms of the Grand Duchy of Finland - Shot Glass 1.5oz

A gold crowned lion rampant holds a sword against a red heater shield, the armorial emblem of the Grand Duchy of Finland.

Visual Elements & Composition

The shield is the single dominant form, filled with a rich red field that sets off the gold lion at its centre. The lion rises on its hind legs, crowned, and grips a white sabre, which runs diagonally across the shield. White five-petal flowers are scattered across the field, and a black accent sharpens the edges of the charges. Gold yellow, white and red make up nearly all of the palette, and the flat vector style keeps every element bold and easy to read.

Meaning & Symbolism

The lion rampant stands for bravery and sovereignty, and the crown above it marks Finland's status as a Grand Duchy. The sabre beneath the lion is read as a trophy of past victories over adversaries, while the flowers, arranged as nine silver roses, stand for Finland's nine historical provinces. The arms were in use from 1809 to 1917, when the country was an autonomous region within the Russian Empire, and they share a lineage with the older Swedish-era symbols that later evolved into the modern emblem of the Republic of Finland.

A Crest Made for the Hand

A shot glass is small and held close, so the lion and its shield fill the view as the glass is lifted to the light. The crowned head sits near the rim, and the sabre sweeps across the middle of the glass. Read at close range, the heater shield gives the emblem its shape and presence in a small, handsome form.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
