DE Landkreis Erlangen-Höchstadt COA Shot Glass Design

This shot glass showcases the heraldic artistry of the Landkreis Erlangen-Höchstadt, a region in Bavaria, Germany. The design is a miniature reproduction of the district's official coat of arms, a symbol of its rich history and diverse influences.

The Design Elements

The design features a shield divided vertically. The left half, a golden field, bears a striking black lion, overlaid with a silver diagonal bar. This lion represents the historical influence of the Prince-Bishopric of Bamberg, which once controlled significant portions of the area.

The right half of the shield presents a blue field, emblazoned with a half-golden water wheel, a "Schöpfrad." This symbol highlights the importance of the Regnitz river and its historic water wheels to the Erlangen region's economy and landscape. The border along this side of the shield is a "compony" pattern of alternating red and silver blocks, taken from the arms of the Margraves of Brandenburg–Bayreuth, who also held historical sway in portions of the district.

Symbolism and Representation

The colors of the shield itself also carry meaning. The gold and blue pay homage to the former Imperial City of Nuremberg, which influenced the area until around 1805. The combination of these elements, the lion, the water wheel, and the border, is a visual representation of the merging of the historical territories, thus honoring their shared heritage within the modern district.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
