DEU Altenbuch COA Shot Glass Design

This shot glass showcases the coat of arms (heraldic emblem) of Altenbuch, a municipality in Bavaria, Germany. The design is a miniature representation of the community's official symbol, rich in historical and geographical meaning.

Design Elements

The central design is a shield divided vertically into two distinct halves. The left side features a black Latin cross set against a silver (white) background. The right side mirrors this with a silver Latin cross on a green background. At the base of the shield, a vertical oak leaf is positioned, with its colors counterchanged against the background, meaning the colors of the leaf are the opposite of the area surrounding it.

Symbolism

Each element of the design carries specific significance. The two crosses, one black and one silver, symbolize the merger of the formerly separate communities of Unteraltenbuch and Oberaltenbuch. The black cross specifically alludes to the Teutonic Knights' historical presence and jurisdiction in Unteraltenbuch. The silver cross represents the Grünau Carthusian Charterhouse, which governed Oberaltenbuch.

The oak leaf symbolizes the Spessart forest region, which is the community's location, and its presence highlights the area's long forestry tradition. Specifically, Unteraltenbuch was historically the seat of one of the forest districts and the forester’s office.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
