Earl of Beatty COA Shot Glass Design

This shot glass showcases the distinguished Coat of Arms of the Earl of Beatty, a symbol rich in naval history and heraldic tradition.

The Shield

The central element of the design is the shield, predominantly in azure blue, representing the sea. Dominating the field is a golden beehive, encircled by nine golden bees in flight. The beehive and bees are emblems of industry and diligence, reflecting Admiral Beatty's dedicated service during his naval career.

The Chief

At the top of the shield, the chief (upper portion) is silver, emblazoned with a prominent Cross of St. George in red. This cross is a direct reference to his English heritage.

The Crest

Above the shield, the crest features a powerful demi-lion, half in red, holding a golden crescent in its dexter (right) paw. The demi-lion and crescent are classic heraldic symbols, adding to the regal appearance of the design.

Supporters

The design also features the supporters, representing the branches of the armed forces with which the Beatty family has been associated. On the dexter (right) side stands a sailor of the Royal Navy, and on the sinister (left) side, a soldier of the Royal Marines, both in their respective uniforms.

The Motto

Completing the design is the motto, "Non vi sed arte," in Latin, which translates to "Not by force but by art." This reflects the skillful and strategic approach Admiral Beatty took in his naval career.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / β‰ˆ44.3 ml) β€” sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (β‰ˆ44.3 ml) β€” standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours β€” less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning β€” place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (β‰ˆ44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
