Earl of Plymouth COA Shot Glass Design

First Creation (1675) Inspired Design

The design draws inspiration from the Coat of Arms created for Charles FitzCharles, the first Earl of Plymouth in 1675. It prominently features the arms of King Charles II, representing his royal lineage. A notable addition is the "baton sinister vair," a blue and white diagonal stripe, signifying his status as an illegitimate son. This distinctive element serves as a visual acknowledgment of his heritage, creating a unique and historically relevant design.

Third Creation (1905) Inspired Design

This design showcases the coat of arms adopted by Robert George Windsor-Clive, 1st Earl of Plymouth in 1905. The design is a sophisticated amalgamation of heraldic symbols. The shield is divided, and it incorporates the Clive and Windsor family heraldry. The Clive element is distinguished by a silver shield with a black horizontal band featuring three gold stars. The Windsor component presents a red shield emblazoned with a silver diagonal cross, and is framed by twelve golden crosses.

The crest above the shield is a proud silver griffin, regally adorned with a red coronet. Two matching silver unicorns support the shield, complete with golden manes, hooves, and horns. Emblazoned across the design is the family motto, "Je me fie en Dieu," a testament to the family's deep faith, etched elegantly within the shot glass's visual landscape.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
