Escudo de Tibacuy (Colombia) Shot Glass - Design Description

This shot glass showcases the official Coat of Arms of Tibacuy, a municipality in Cundinamarca, Colombia. The design is a vibrant and symbolic representation of the region's rich heritage and natural beauty.

Design Elements and Symbolism

The shield itself, a cabrio cortinado shape, is divided into distinct sections, each representing important aspects of Tibacuy. The right flank, colored gules (red), features a cedro tree in sinople (green), symbolizing the municipality's natural wealth and flourishing flora.

On the left flank, also in sinople (green), a strong arm grasps an axe, a symbol of the community's industriousness and dedicated work ethic. The central field, in plata (white), showcases the prominent Cerro de Quinini, a green mountain range representing the mountainous geography of the region.

The base or "punta" of the shield displays alternating waves of azur (blue) and plata (white), reflecting the crucial presence of rivers and other water sources that flow through the municipality.

The bordure or border is colored in azur (blue) with a filiera (thin border) of oro (gold). It is adorned with five petroglyphs in sable (black), honoring the indigenous heritage and the archaeological remains found in the area.

Crowning the shield is a spanish eagle in sable (black), its wings extended, holding a captain's crown, representing the liberty and sovereignty of the municipality.

Color Meanings

The colors used in the design carry specific meanings: gules (red) signifies the courage and strength of Tibacuy's people; sinople (green) embodies hope, nature, and the prosperity of the countryside; plata (white) represents the peace and harmony of the community; azur (blue) symbolizes the vital rivers and water bodies, and finally, oro (gold) represents the richness and nobility of the region.

The entire design creates a visually compelling and meaningful statement about the history, culture, and environmental connection of Tibacuy.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
