Escudo de Yumbel (Chile) Shot Glass Design

This shot glass showcases the intricate and meaningful design of the Coat of Arms of Yumbel, a commune in Chile's Bío Bío Region. The artwork directly reflects the official heraldic symbol adopted on February 16, 2009, making it a powerful representation of Yumbel's history and cultural heritage.

Shield Details

The central element of the design is the shield, quartered into four distinct sections. The top left quarter presents three black and gold checkered bands on a silver field, a direct reference to the arms of Don Alonso de Sotomayor, founder of the original fort of Yumbel (San Felipe de Austria) in 1585.

The top right quarter features a radiant golden sun on a red field, symbolizing "Light of the Dawn" or "Radiant Rainbow," derived from the Mapuche words “um” (dawn) and “pel” (light), interpreting the meaning of "Yumbel".

The bottom left quarter displays three silver scallop shells, arranged two above and one below, on a red field. These represent the significant pilgrimages to the Sanctuary of San Sebastián de Yumbel, a vital religious site.

The bottom right quarter presents a green tree traversed by three green arrows, all on a silver field. This symbolizes Saint Sebastian, the patron saint of Yumbel, honoring the saint.

Additional Elements

The shield is encircled by a blue band adorned with seven golden towers, representing the seven foundations of the settlement. Above the shield sits a golden mural crown with eight towers, four of which are visible, signifying the commune's status.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
