Escudo Zaragoza Puebla Shot Glass - Design Description

This shot glass showcases the iconic coat of arms (Escudo) of Puebla de Zaragoza, Mexico. The design centers around the heart-shaped shield granted in 1538 by Charles V.

Central Motif

At the heart of the design is a gold fortress or building, distinguished by five prominent towers. On either side, two golden angels stand guard. This imagery pays homage to the city's namesake, Puebla de los Ángeles (Puebla of the Angels).

Supporting Elements

Above the central structure, the letters "K V" are prominently displayed, a heraldic nod to Karolus V (Charles V) of Spain, who bestowed the arms upon the city. At the base of the design, a blue river flows, symbolizing the vital importance and abundance of water.

The Border

The entire composition is framed by a green border, known as a "sinople" in heraldry, which represents the fertility of the land. Encircling the border is the Latin inscription: "ANGELIS SVIS DEVS MANDAVIT DE TE VT CVSTODIANT TE IN OMNIBUS VIIS TVIS," a quote from Psalm 91:11, conveying divine protection.

Symbolism

The coat of arms is rich in symbolism. The golden building and towers represent the city's civic strength and architectural grandeur. The angels reinforce the city's angelic foundation. The river symbolizes the abundance of water. The inscription emphasizes divine protection.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
