Flag of Borough of the Bronx (United States) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design reproduces the flag of the Bronx, a horizontal tricolour of orange, white and blue with a heraldic emblem at the centre of the white band.

Visual Elements & Composition

Three equal horizontal bands of orange, white and blue make up the flag, and the white band carries the borough's emblem. That emblem is a shield set beneath a hemisphere topped with an American eagle, encircled by a green laurel wreath. Inside the shield a rising sun sits over the sea, and a Latin motto, NE CEDE MALIS, runs along the lower edge. The flat vector treatment keeps the lines crisp, and the stripes give the flag a clean, structured rhythm.

Meaning & Symbolism

The orange, white and blue come from the Dutch Prinsenvlag, a nod to the region's colonial roots in New Netherland. The shield draws on the arms of Jonas Bronck, the 17th-century settler after whom the borough is named. The rising sun over the sea stands for peace, liberty and commerce, and the motto translates as "Yield not to evil." The flag was first adopted in March 1912 under Borough President Cyrus C. Miller.

On a Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the emblem takes the centre of the view and the stripes wrap the body of the glass. When the glass is raised, the eagle and laurel wreath sit at eye level, and the Latin motto sits low enough to read as the glass is set down.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
