Flag of Chanan (China) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A broad golden-yellow field carries a small rectangular canton of red, white and navy blue in its upper hoist corner, the banner of a regional administration in northern China in the late 1930s.

Visual Elements & Composition

Golden yellow fills most of the flag, leaving the canton to act as the only point of detail. Inside it, three vertical bands of red, white and navy blue sit side by side, a tricolour set against the open yellow ground. The layout is spare and flat, so the eye moves from the bright field to the compact canton and back again.

Meaning & Symbolism

The flag belonged to the South Chahar Autonomous Government, known in transliteration as Chanan, a short-lived administration that operated in northern China during the Japanese occupation before and during the Second World War. It stands for a period of contested regional rule, when local banners of this kind were used in place of a single national standard. The flag is a lesser-known fragment of wartime East Asian governance and a reminder of how many banners flew across the region in that era.

On the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the canton comes into view at eye level as the glass is lifted, and the golden field fills the space the eye falls on first. The design rewards a closer look, which suits a glass that is meant to be picked up and examined between rounds.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
