Flag of High-ranking Official of Beiyang Fleet (China) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design is a naval command flag of the Beiyang Fleet, built from five equal horizontal bands of red, green, yellow, black and white.

Visual Elements & Composition

The five colour bands share the field equally, so no single hue dominates and each one carries the same weight. The flat vector style keeps the edges between bands clean and parallel. There is no lettering or figure in the design, and the striped structure alone gives it its distinctive rhythm, the kind of layout that reads as a flag even at a glance across a table.

Meaning & Symbolism

The Beiyang Fleet was one of China's four modernised navies in the late Qing dynasty, and it played a central role in maritime defence during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Its flags marked rank and command, with the flag of a senior officer identifying the authority he held over the fleet. The tricolour-style bands reflect the period's blend of traditional imperial symbolism with the formal structure of a modern naval hierarchy.

On the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the bands are seen at arm's length, and the stripes line up cleanly across the curve of the glass. The striped pattern reads well through clear glass, and it draws the eye each time the glass is lifted.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
