Flag of Horokanai Hokkaido (Japan) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design shows the flag of Horokanai, a town in Hokkaido, as a navy field carrying a red and white emblem drawn from the town's name.

Visual Elements & Composition

Navy blue covers most of the flag, roughly three-fifths of its area, with red taking about a third and white a small share. At the centre sits a circular emblem built from flat geometric shapes: three bar lines, three small circles and three fan shapes, with negative space cut into the form. The style is flat vector, and the emblem is the only element on the field.

Meaning & Symbolism

The emblem is a stylised rendering of the name Horokanai, written in katakana as ホロカナイ. The circle stands for harmony and unity within the town, and the three bar lines for the harmony of heaven, earth and humanity. The three small circles represent politics, economy and education, while the three fan shapes stand for forestry, agriculture and pasture, and mining. The negative spaces recall the Uryu River and Lake Shumarinai. The flag was adopted on 3 July 1958.

A Compact Emblem for a Small Glass

A 1.5oz shot glass is small and held close, so the emblem sits right at the eye when the glass is raised. The circle and its fine bar lines are easy to pick out at that range, and the navy field makes the red and white stand out through the glass.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
