Flag of Lethbridge Canada
The Flag of Lethbridge is the official symbol representing the city of Lethbridge, located in the province of Alberta, Canada. Adopted on June 15, 2006, it features a unique design that embodies the city's rich history and connection to its natural environment.
The flag comprises three horizontal bands arranged from top to bottom in the proportions 3:4:3, with the central band being green to represent the prairie landscape characteristic of Southern Alberta. Two stylized yellow prairie cranes, symbolizing peace and prosperity, are depicted on this central band, facing toward each other, a testament to the city's unified growth and harmony.
The upper and lower bands, each measuring 1/8th of the flag's total height, are divided diagonally by a white line that creates four quadrants. Within these quadrants, the flags of the two founding nations – the United Kingdom (Union Jack) on the upper hoist side, and Canada (Canadian maple leaf) on the lower fly side – are represented. The remaining quadrants display the red and white stripes from the City of Lethbridge's original coat of arms.
The Flag of Lethbridge is a significant emblem that celebrates the city's heritage, its connection to Canada, and its unique identity as part of Alberta's prairie landscape.
