Flag of Motomiya Fukushima (Japan) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design is the civic emblem of Motomiya City in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, built around a single bold, swooping form that reads at once as a wave, a breath of wind and a bird in flight.

Visual Elements & Composition

The emblem is a flat vector composition with a circular core. Green and navy blue swoosh around one another against a field of white, and the two colours share the image almost equally, with white taking the largest share of the surface. Crescent cutouts break the curves, giving the circle movement without clutter. The overall layout is centred and balanced, with no text or numerals to compete with the shapes.

Meaning & Symbolism

The centre is a stylised version of the hiragana character “mo” (も), which anchors the city's identity. Its curves stand for the region's abundant greenery, water and rivers. The emblem also carries the merger of the former Motomiya Town and Shirasawa Village, and the flying bird shows the new city leaping forward into the future. Modern in style, the emblem expresses civic pride, environmental harmony and forward momentum.

Small Glass, Close Reading

A shot glass is held close and turned slowly in the hand, so the emblem is read at arm's length rather than across a room. The green and blue swoosh wraps the small curved surface, and each crescent cutout catches the eye as the glass moves. It is a quiet piece of Fukushima civic design, made for a moment of toasting and a conversation about where the emblem came from.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
