Flag of Nokami Wakayama 1955-2006 (Japan) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design reproduces the municipal flag of Nokami, a former town in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, set on a clean white field with a single red emblem at its centre.

Visual Elements & Composition

White dominates the composition, covering roughly three-quarters of the field, while red takes up the remaining quarter in the town's emblem. The layout is minimalist and heraldic: one central mark, no border, no lettering to compete with it. The emblem is built from flat geometric forms, a circle, triangles and a trapezoid base, drawn in a simple flat vector style that reads cleanly at a glance.

Meaning & Symbolism

A municipal emblem is a town's shorthand for its identity, and this one was adopted in October 1955 and carried through the next fifty years of local life. The flag was retired on 1 January 2006, when Nokami merged with Misato to form the town of Kimino. That makes this design a record of a specific chapter in Japanese local history, preserved in the formal, unfussy language that civic flags have always used.

Made for the Hand, Held Close

A shot glass is small enough to hold in a palm and looked at from only a few inches away, so the emblem gets the close attention a flag rarely receives. The bold red mark and open white ground stay legible even at that scale, and the simple geometry rewards a second look over the bar, a little story waiting for whoever asks about the symbol in the glass.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
