The Flag of Pasto is the official symbol representing the department of Nariño, located in southwestern Colombia. The flag features three horizontal stripes arranged from top to bottom, with proportions 2:3:2. The colors used are green, yellow, and red, symbolizing hope, prosperity, and valor (courage), respectively. In the center is a white square containing a black eagle clutching a cross in its talons, known as the Coat of Arms of Pasto. This emblem represents the historical importance of religion and indigenous heritage to the region. The flag was officially adopted on May 20th, 1908.
