Flag of the Princely State of Jhansi (India) Shot Glass 1.5oz

An orange and white flag split on a diagonal, the banner of a Maratha-ruled kingdom in north-central India that is forever tied to Rani Lakshmibai.

Visual Elements & Composition

Orange and white share the surface equally, meeting along a single diagonal line that cuts the rectangle in two. A triangular form sits within that split, so the eye follows the slanted edge from one corner toward the other. There is no lettering or ornament, and the flat vector treatment keeps the shapes sharp. The result is a bold, geometric block of colour, with the warm orange drawing the attention first.

Meaning & Symbolism

Jhansi was a Maratha-ruled princely state, formerly a vassal of the Maratha Empire, and it was ruled by the Newalkar house. The British East India Company became overlord in 1804, and the state was annexed under the Doctrine of Lapse in 1853. That annexation set the stage for Rani Lakshmibai, the warrior queen who led resistance during the Indian Rebellion of 1857. She died in battle on 18 June 1858, and her defiance made Jhansi a lasting symbol of resistance to British rule, a name that remains a watchword of Indian nationalism.

Shaped for the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the diagonal split is seen right up at the rim as the glass is raised. The two-tone layout suits a narrow surface, since the one slanted line runs cleanly around the glass and stays readable without fine detail. It is a pointed, purposeful piece of history for a home bar shelf.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
