Flag of the Princely State of Ramdurg (India) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A flat, modern banner of bright orange and white, built from triangles and chevrons that point the eye across the field.

Visual Elements & Composition

Orange covers about three fifths of the design and white the rest, so the warm tone sets the mood while the white keeps the geometry sharp. The motifs are a triangle and a row of chevrons, arranged as stepped, arrow-like shapes that read as movement. There is no lettering or numeral; the composition relies entirely on the angles and the contrast between the two colours.

Meaning & Symbolism

Ramdurg was one of the Maratha princely states of the Deccan, ruled by the Bhave family and founded in 1799. Under the British Raj it was administered as part of the Deccan States Agency of the Bombay Presidency, and it joined the Union of India on 8 March 1948. The chevrons and arrow forms echo the forward-driving heraldry of the Maratha confederacy, a tradition of small, proud realms that shaped the political map of western and southern India.

Where the Design Meets the Glass

Chevrons repeat most convincingly when they wrap a surface that is close to the hand. On a 1.5oz shot glass the orange and white bands sit at arm’s length, so the stepped triangles read clearly each time the glass is raised. Small enough to hold, the pattern turns a simple toast into a short tour of Deccan history.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
