Flag of the Principality of Wy Shot Glass 1.5oz

This is the flag of the Principality of Wy, an artist-led micronation born in the Sydney suburb of Mosman, and its diagonal cross gives it a playful, graphic punch.

Visual Elements & Composition

White covers the largest share of the field, with red, deep purple and yellow dividing the rest. A diagonal cross runs across the flag in the manner of the Union Jack, and its crisp rectangular shapes give the layout a clean, modern geometry. The palette is bright but controlled, so the cross and colour blocks read clearly at a glance.

Meaning & Symbolism

The principality was declared on 15 November 2004 by the artist Paul Delprat, who styled himself Prince of Wy after a long-running dispute with Mosman Council. He declared secession from Mosman, not from Australia, and the micronation has its own flag, crest, currency and website. Its identity is closely tied to the arts, and the principality sponsors an art prize. The flag therefore reads as an emblem of community and creative patronage rather than formal state authority.

Carrying the Cross

A shot glass is small and held close, so the diagonal cross sits right in the line of sight as the glass is raised. The bold colour blocks read well on a compact vessel, and the story behind the flag gives the home bar a conversation starter with some wit.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
