Flag of the Provisional Government of India (India) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A springing tiger stands at the centre of a saffron, white and green tricolour, the flag of the Azad Hind provisional government of 1943.

Visual Elements & Composition

The flag is a horizontal tricolour in saffron-yellow, white and green, with the white band twice the height of the other two. The tiger is set at the centre, shown in mid-leap across the white band. The word Azad is lettered on the saffron band and Hind on the green band, so the text frames the central figure. The layout is bold and direct, with the tiger carrying the design.

Meaning & Symbolism

The flag was proclaimed on 21 October 1943 by Subhas Chandra Bose for the Provisional Government of Free India, known as Azad Hind. It is a variant of the earlier Purna Swaraj flag, with the tiger taking the place of the spinning wheel. The tiger stands for courage, strength and an unbroken will, and it was tied to the Indian National Army. The flag belongs to a defiant chapter of resistance to colonial rule and of national resurgence.

Where the Tiger Meets the Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the tiger is seen at eye level as the glass is lifted. The compact round form gives the central figure room to stand out, and the saffron and green read clearly against the clear glass when it is set down on a bar or table.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
