Flag of the Republic of Talossa Shot Glass 1.5oz

A red and green split, marked with small white stars, is the flag of one of the best-known modern micronations, dreamed up in Milwaukee in 1979.

Visual Elements & Composition

The design is a flat vector flag divided vertically into red and green. Red and green take almost the whole field, with only a small amount of white in the stars. The stars are set on the coloured field as a simple emblem, and the composition is clean and bold. There is no lettering, so the colour split and the star mark carry the design.

Meaning & Symbolism

Talossa was founded in 1979 by Robert Ben Madison, who was 14 years old at the time and living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He declared independence for his bedroom, and the project grew into a kingdom that later included a republic faction. It has a worldwide community, its own constructed language and an invented history that continues decades later. The red and green flag is the emblem of that project and one of the most recognisable pieces of micronation design.

A Flag Held Up to the Light

A shot glass is small and held close, so the split of red and green and the white stars are seen at arm's length as the glass is raised. The colours are strong enough to hold through the clear glass, and each pour brings the emblem up to eye level. It makes a lively talking point for anyone who likes odd corners of history.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
