Flag of the Romani people WRC second variant ca. 1971 - 1x2 ratio (Yugoslavia) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A blue and green flag carrying a red sixteen-spoked chakra, the emblem of the Romani people as approved at the World Romani Congress of 1971.

Visual Elements & Composition

The field is split into two horizontal bands, sky blue on top and green below, in an elongated 1:2 proportion. A single red wheel sits at the centre where the two bands meet. The flat vector style keeps the blue and green clean, and the red chakra stands out as the one warm element in the design.

Meaning & Symbolism

The blue stands for the heavens and the green for the earth. The chakra, a sixteen-spoked wheel, reflects the itinerant tradition of the Romani people and pays homage to the flag of India, which reflects the community's historical origins. The wheel is red to remember the Porajmos, the genocide of Romani people during the Second World War, and it also points to progress and resilience. Representatives of Romani communities approved the flag at the first World Romani Congress in 1971.

Made for the Shot Glass

A 1.5oz shot glass is small and held close, so the central wheel comes right to the eye as the glass is lifted. The horizontal split of blue over green is simple enough to read through the clear walls, and the red chakra draws the eye to the centre of the glass.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
