Flag of the Russian Federation 1997 proposal (Russia) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A red field carries one large golden star at its centre, ringed by smaller golden stars: a 1997 alternative to the tricolour that was proposed but never adopted.

Visual Elements & Composition

Red fills almost the whole field, so the golden stars are the only things that break it up. A large five-pointed star sits at the centre, and a ring of smaller golden stars surrounds it. The arrangement is bold and symmetrical, with the central star as the dominant element. The flat vector style keeps the star points sharp and the gold clear against the red, and there is no lettering or border to compete with the layout.

Meaning & Symbolism

The large central star stands for the Russian people, and the smaller stars for the constituent subjects of the federation. Together they form a constellation that binds the many regions to one common centre. The design was put forward during the 1990s debate over national symbols and associated with the historian William Pokhlyobkin, who opposed the restored white, blue and red tricolour. It was a deliberate alternative to that tricolour, and it was never enacted. It survives as a documented piece of post-Soviet vexillological debate.

On the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the star is read at eye level as the glass is raised, with the ring of smaller stars arranged around it. The central star falls near the midline of the glass, where the eye settles first. It is a bold, unifying design, and its single strong focal point suits one deliberate pour.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
