Flag of the Saxon Duchies 1815-1918 (Germany) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A clean, two-colour flag from the small principalities of Thuringia, printed across a 1.5oz clear glass in flat, confident colour.

Visual Elements & Composition

The design is built from just two horizontal bands of equal weight: a deep green and a crisp white, stacked edge to edge inside a plain rectangle. Nothing competes with the stripes. The flat vector treatment keeps the edges sharp, so the bicolour reads clearly even at the small scale of a shot glass.

Meaning & Symbolism

White and green were the colours of Saxony, which adopted them as national colours on 16 June 1815. The Ernestine duchies of Thuringia, among them Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Saxe-Meiningen, Saxe-Altenburg and Saxe-Hildburghausen, largely followed suit, flying the bicolour on flags and cockades until 1918. The exact arrangement of the stripes varied from state to state and from period to period, which is part of the story this flag tells about the many small German courts that shared one heritage.

Made for the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so this flag is seen at arm's length and up near the eye, the way a toast is raised. Each sip brings the two bands right to the drinker's hand, turning a piece of 1815-era regional heraldry into something you pass across a table.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
