Flag of the Second Spanish Republic plain (Spain) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design shows the plain civil version of the Second Spanish Republic's flag, three horizontal bands of red, yellow and purple with no emblem at all.

Visual Elements & Composition

Red runs across the top, yellow forms the middle, and purple, the morado of the flag's name, closes the bottom. The three bands are equal in weight and flat in colour, so the design is pure stripe with no lettering, crest or shading. That simplicity is the point of the plain version, and it means the colour blocks and their proportions carry the whole image.

Meaning & Symbolism

Red and yellow recall the medieval Crown of Aragon, and the purple band stands for Castile and León, the kingdoms whose union formed Spain. The flag was adopted on 27 April 1931 as a deliberate break from the red-yellow-red banner of the Bourbon monarchy. It was raised as a hope for an egalitarian republic, and it flew until 1939, which makes it a clear emblem of that short and divided era.

In the Hand, at Close Range

A shot glass is small and held close, so the three bands wrap around the glass as it is turned in the hand and read as one continuous colour block. The plain layout suits a piece this size, because nothing competes for attention and the palette stays crisp at a few centimetres.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
