Flag of the Udmurt ASSR 1937-1954 (Soviet Union) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A plain red field carries gold lettering in two lines, the state flag of the Udmurt Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic as it flew between 1937 and 1954.

Visual Elements & Composition

Red covers nearly the whole field, and the design relies on text rather than imagery. Golden serif letters sit near the upper hoist, reading "RSFSR" in Cyrillic, and a smaller inscription beneath gives "Udmurt A.S.S.R." in Russian, with the Udmurt-language form also present. The layout is a simple rectangle with no emblem, so the typography alone carries the design.

Meaning & Symbolism

The flag was set by the republic's 1937 constitution and is built on the state flag of the RSFSR, the Russian republic within the Soviet Union. The gold inscriptions name the republic and its place inside that larger federation, and the bilingual lettering reflects Udmurt regional identity alongside Soviet statehood. The text-only design was replaced in 1954 by a version with a star, hammer and sickle, which makes this one a dated record of the republic's early Soviet period.

In the Hand, at Eye Level

A shot glass is small and is raised to the eye, so the lettering reads directly through the clear sides as the glass is lifted. Gold on red is the first thing seen, and the smaller line of text rewards a closer look.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
