Gambellara-Stemma (Italy) Shot Glass: Design Description

This shot glass showcases the official coat of arms of Gambellara, a municipality in the province of Vicenza, Veneto, Italy. The design is split into two distinct sections, representing the rich history and traditions of the town.

Field of the Coat of Arms

The left side of the shield (first "partito") is colored red ("rosso") and features a golden grape cluster ("grappolo d'uva d'oro"). This symbolizes the region's renowned winemaking, particularly the esteemed Recioto di Gambellara, a sweet wine with DOCG status. The grape cluster has a green stem and leaves ("gambo e fogliato di verde").

The right side of the shield (second "partito") is blue ("azzurro") and depicts an obelisk ("obelisco") as a remembrance. The obelisk commemorates the Battle of Sorio of April 8, 1848, a significant event during the First Italian War of Independence. Above the obelisk is a four-pointed star ("stella a quattro punte"). The obelisk itself stands on three natural-colored green hills ("colli verdi al naturale").

Capo (Top Section)

The top of the shield features a purple ("porpora") head ("capo"). This section includes two branches: a branch of oak ("quercia") and a branch of laurel ("alloro"). The branches are tied together with a ribbon in the colors of the Italian flag, representing national unity and identity ("nastro dai colori nazionali"). The oak and laurel symbolize strength and honor, important qualities associated with the region.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / โ‰ˆ44.3 ml) โ€” sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

Theyโ€™re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (โ‰ˆ44.3 ml) โ€” standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours โ€” less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning โ€” place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (โ‰ˆ44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
