The Greater Coat of Arms of the Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg, adopted in 2000, is a heraldic symbol used by the Grand Duke of Luxembourg and his family. This coat of arms is a significant emblem of the Luxembourg monarchy and is often displayed during official ceremonies and events. The design includes the shield of Luxembourg with five gold lions passant guardant (facing the dexter, or right) on a field of quarterly gules and argent, representing the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It also incorporates symbols related to the Nassau family, such as the eagle of the House of Nassau in the chief, with the ducal coronet and mantling of gold and azure. The motto "Concordia tritus" (Tried in Unity), which can be found at the bottom of the shield, reflects the importance of unity within the Grand Ducal family and the country.
