Visual Elements & Composition

Blue fills most of the frame, roughly four-fifths of it, so the cover reads as one confident block of colour. Gold picks out the details, and white adds the crisp lettering. The layout is minimalist: a rectangular cover, a shield-shaped coat of arms, a cross, and rounded pill shapes arranged with plenty of breathing room. The text does much of the work. ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ and REPUBLIQUE HELLENIQUE run across the top, ΔΙΑΒΑΤΗΡΙΟΝ and PASSEPORT name the document in Greek and French, and a "Όνομα Επώνυμο" line marks where the holder's name would go.

A diplomatic passport was issued by the Hellenic Republic to government officials and representatives on official missions, distinct from the ordinary passport held by citizens travelling for personal reasons.
