Héraldique Ville BE Charleroi 1995 Shot Glass Design

A Fortress of History

This striking shot glass design presents the official coat of arms of Charleroi, Belgium, a symbol rich in history and meaning. The central focus is a black (sable) shield, providing a dramatic backdrop for the other elements. Dominating the center is the silver (argent) silhouette of a hexagonal fortress, a representation of the iconic Vauban-style fort around which Charleroi was built.

Stars and Symbols of Unity

Encircling the fortress are twelve golden (or) five-pointed stars, arranged in a circular pattern. These stars are a symbol of the "Towns of Europe," representing European unity and the city's place within the larger European community.

Checkerboard and Fleur-de-Lis

Above the fortress and stars, two horizontal bars with a checkerboard pattern further enrich the design. These bars feature alternating red (gueules) and silver squares, the upper bar containing eight squares and the lower bar containing seven. These squares represent the fifteen former municipalities that merged to form the current city of Charleroi. At the top of the design, in a "chief diminished," is a silver band adorned with a single red (gueules) fleur-de-lis, a nod to France's role in the expansion of the original Vauban fortress.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
