Jacobswoude Wapen Shot Glass Design

This shot glass showcases the heraldic artistry of the former Dutch municipality of Jacobswoude. The design is a miniature replication of the municipality's official coat of arms, a symbol rich in history and meaning.

Visual Elements and Composition

The primary canvas is a vibrant blue, a color known as azure in heraldry. Across this field stretches a bold horizontal band of gold. This band is a key element, representing the unity of the community.

On the gold band, four precisely placed blue lozenges (diamond shapes) are arranged. These represent the four villages that comprised Jacobswoude: Woubrugge, Rijnsaterwoude, Leimuiden, and Hoogmade. Each lozenge acts as a symbolic emblem of its village, integrated into a unified whole.

Above and below the band, further golden crescents (wassenaars) enhance the design. There are two above the band, and one is located below it. The “gezichtswassenaar” (faced crescent) distinguishes the single lower crescent. The golden crescents themselves are borrowed from the coats of arms of Woubrugge and Rijnsaterwoude, demonstrating a link to the past.

Symbolism and Significance

The overall color scheme, the vivid blue field and the use of gold, pay homage to the "Rijkskleuren" or state colors, honoring historical tradition. The entire design is a thoughtful composition. It represents the merging of diverse elements to form the unified municipality of Jacobswoude.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
