Lesser Royal Coat of Arms of Spain Shot Glass Design

This shot glass showcases the Lesser Royal Coat of Arms of Spain, a design used during the Bourbon monarchies from 1700 to 1868 and again from 1834 to 1930. The artwork features the Pillars of Hercules variant, a symbol rich in historical and symbolic meaning.

The Shield and Its Quarterings

At the heart of the design is the traditional quartered shield. It displays the emblems of the kingdoms that formed Spain. The upper left quarter features the castle of Castile, symbolizing strength and authority. Opposite, the lion of León represents valor and courage. The upper right quarter displays the red and gold stripes of Aragon, a heraldic emblem dating back centuries. The lower left quarter shows the chains of Navarre, a symbol of unity and conquest.

At the base of the shield, the “enté en point,” is the pomegranate of Granada, a reminder of the final Muslim kingdom's incorporation into Spain in 1492.

The Bourbon-Anjou Inescutcheon

A smaller shield, known as an inescutcheon, sits in the center of the larger one. This shield bears the arms of the Bourbon-Anjou dynasty, represented by three golden fleurs-de-lis on a blue field. This small shield signifies the ruling house.

The Pillars of Hercules

Flanking the main shield are the iconic Pillars of Hercules, two columns that stand as supporters. These pillars, representing the legendary pillars at the Strait of Gibraltar, are a powerful symbol in Spanish heraldry. Each pillar is accompanied by a scroll bearing the motto "Plus Ultra," meaning "Further Beyond," which embodies Spain's spirit of exploration and its overseas expansion.

Royal Crown

The design is crowned with the Royal Crown, an essential emblem of the Spanish monarchy, representing sovereignty and authority.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
