MD Route 105 (Maryland) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design reproduces a Maryland state route marker for Route 105, a highway designation that is no longer in use.

Visual Elements & Composition

The design is flat and graphic, built from two colours: white fills most of the surface, with black used for the outline and the lower divider band. A rounded rectangle frames the marker, and a horizontal band separates the upper state name from the route number. The word MARYLAND runs across the top, and the numeral 105 fills the lower field, so the number reads first and the state name second.

Meaning & Symbolism

The marker follows the standards of the Maryland State Highway Administration, which set the shape, colour and lettering for every state route sign. Route 105 once designated Rogers Avenue in Ellicott City, Howard County, running from the former Route 144 on Main Street north to the former Route 100 on Old Frederick Road. In 1956 that designation was folded into an extension of Route 99, which retired the number. The sign now stands as a record of Ellicott City's changing roads and of how the state renumbered its network.

Shaped for the Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the marker is taken in at a glance, the way a driver once read a route sign. The rounded rectangle follows the curve of the glass wall, and the bold numerals stay readable as the glass is turned. It suits anyone who collects Maryland history, follows old highway maps, or has driven through Ellicott City long enough to notice when a road changed its name.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
