Nassau County 16 NY (New York) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A pentagon route shield numbered 16 brings back a county marker from the Nassau County highway network of New York.

Visual Elements & Composition

The pentagon is the dominant form, its outline echoed by a second inner edge that gives the badge a framed look. The background is a dark blue, the border and lettering are bright, and the word COUNTY sits across the upper part while the route number 16 takes the centre. The arrangement is plain and direct, built for quick reading from a moving car.

Meaning & Symbolism

The shield told motorists they were on a county-designated road, a different authority from the state and federal routes around it. Route 16 was one of the numbered roads in that county system until the late 1970s, when Nassau County removed its route markers after a standards and funding dispute with the New York State Department of Transportation. The number now lives only in county records. The artwork holds on to a piece of the county's road history that is no longer posted anywhere.

On the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the marker is viewed at eye level and taken in as a whole, rather than read from a distance like a roadside sign. The clear walls let the dark blue and bright border show through the glass, and the single numeral keeps the design focused.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
