New Mexico 117 1932 (New Mexico) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A vintage-style New Mexico highway marker for State Road 117, set on a warm yellow field with a Zia sun badge at its heart.

Visual Elements & Composition

Yellow dominates the sign, with a white band around the edge and a black-and-red circular badge at the centre. The badge is a circle within a circle, and the stylised Zia sun sits inside it. The words STATE and ROAD run above and below the numeral 117, with N. M. marking the state. The rendering is flat vector, so the colour blocks stay sharp and the lettering reads cleanly.

Meaning & Symbolism

State Road 117 is about 62 miles long and runs through Cibola County, from NM 36 near Quemado north to Grants. The road passes the El Malpais National Conservation Area and runs alongside the McCartys Lava Flow in the Zuni-Bandera volcanic field. The "1932" in the title names the sign's design era rather than the year the route was numbered. The red-and-black scheme on yellow with a smaller central Zia circle was typical of New Mexico markers from the late 1920s and 1930s, and the Zia itself is the sun emblem drawn from the Zia Pueblo and shown on the state flag.

Built for the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the Zia badge and the numeral sit at eye level as the glass is lifted. The round badge matches the curve of the rim, and the bright yellow stands out against the clear glass on a bar top or shelf.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
