New Mexico 15 1932 (New Mexico) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design recreates a 1932 New Mexico State Road 15 route marker, built around the Zia sun symbol that anchors the state's flag and its road identity.

Visual Elements & Composition

A golden yellow field fills most of the sign, with red and black used for the lettering and the sun emblem. The Zia sun sits at the centre as a circle with radiating rays grouped in four sets, and the words STATE, ROAD, 15 and N.M. frame it in a flat, graphic layout. The colour pairing of red and black on yellow was the scheme used for early New Mexico markers, before white-background signs became standard.

Meaning & Symbolism

The Zia sun comes from the Zia Pueblo and its four sets of rays stand for the four directions and the four seasons. Placing it on a state road marker tied the state's modern highway network to its older cultural roots. The route itself, NM 15, runs roughly 44 miles from Silver City toward the Gila Cliff Dwellings, and parts of it aligned with the National Old Trails Road and Route 66 during the early development of transcontinental travel.

Holding the Story in Your Hand

A shot glass is small and held close, so the sign's bold yellow and the centred sun read clearly at a glance as the glass is lifted. Each detail of the marker is visible from the rim, and the design makes a fitting keepsake for anyone who has travelled the old roads of the Southwest.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
