New Mexico 170 1932 (New Mexico) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design takes the look of an older New Mexico highway marker and puts a state road sign on the side of a glass.

Visual Elements & Composition

Golden yellow fills most of the surface, with red and black used for the lettering and edging. The layout is flat and graphic, built around a circular badge at the centre. Within the badge sits the Zia sun symbol, and the words STATE, ROAD, N. M. and the route number 170 are set around it in bold capitals, so the sign reads clearly from across a bar top.

Meaning & Symbolism

The Zia sun symbol comes from the Zia Pueblo and carries deep spiritual meaning. Its four groups of rays stand for the four directions, the four seasons and the four stages of life. New Mexico highway signs of the 1920s and 1930s placed this symbol at the centre of the marker, which is why the state's early road design is so recognisable. The design is a nod to that period, pairing practical road guidance with the cultural heritage of the land.

Made for This Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the badge sits right in the hand and the yellow catches the light as the glass is turned. Each sip brings the sun symbol up to eye level, which suits a design built around a single, strong central emblem.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
