New Mexico 171 1932 (New Mexico) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A golden road-sign design that dresses State Road 171 in the style of New Mexico's early highway markers, centred on the Zia sun.

Visual Elements & Composition

Golden yellow covers most of the surface, with red and black used for the rings and lettering. A circular badge sits at the heart of the layout, and the Zia sun symbol fills it. The words STATE and ROAD run across the top and the numerals 171 anchor the lower half, with N. M. set beside them. The composition is flat and bold, so the sign reads at a glance.

Meaning & Symbolism

The Zia sun symbol comes from the Zia Pueblo, where its four groups of rays stand for the four directions, the four seasons and the four stages of life. It has become a central emblem of New Mexico, appearing on the state flag and on its highway signs. Early New Mexico road markers of the 1920s and 1930s used a yellow ground with red and black detail, and a smaller central circle within the Zia, which this design echoes. The year 1932 sets the mood of that era rather than marking a specific sign.

Made for the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the badge and its bold numerals come right up to the eye as the glass is lifted. The warm yellow reads well through the clear glass, and the design makes a neat conversation piece on a home bar shelf.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
